Maruti Suzuki, India’s biggest auto manufacturer has an interesting launch called XA Alpha. The company has emerged with grand successes from all quarters with the launch of Alto 800 hatchback, Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire and Ertiga MPV. XA Alpha is a new sub compact SUV launch, and the uploaded image is a lava red piece. From the looks of it XA Alpha is likely to be another killer launch, and was displayed at 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in the form of iV-4.

The car was unfortunately not shown at 2014 Indian Auto Expo, but another glossy product of Maruti Suzuki was revealed called SX4S-Cross, and is expected to arrive before XA Alpha. The car will be positioned between Suzuki Jimmy and Grand Vitara, and the production model will be showcased at Paris Motor Show scheduled to be held during the earlier periods of October.
The iV-4 or XA Alpha is a global launch, and the attractive markets are Australia and Europe, and the launch will happen sometime in second quarter of 2014. The production procedure at the company’s established Hungarian unit will happen in 2015. Suzuki has provided some interesting details on iV-4, and said that the car is eco-friendly with admirably low carbon-dioxide outputs and also light weight. The car is engineered in all four wheel drive mode, and the company has not yet revealed details on technical features. From the images displayed on the web, iV4 looks stunning, and the public will wonder about the measurement aspects of the car. It is 1.66mm tall, 1.85mm wide and 4.21 mm long.
Maruti Suzuki XA Alpha might have a potent diesel 1.5 liter turbo engine, which is a reduced version of diesel 1.6 liter engine. The company is also developing a range of diesel engines with 1.4 liter, 1.2 liter and 0.8 liter capacities. The expected launch date in India is sometime in 2016, and deeper details about the car have not been disclosed.
The Indian market has witnessed a surge of SUV’s in the past few years with the launch of Renault Duster, new Volkswagen Taigun , Hyundai ix24, Ford EcoSport. Maruti Suzuki will face the arch SUV battle post the launch of XA Alpha.
